Haymarket Baptist Church is an evangelical Baptist church which has been reaching people for Christ in the Haymarket area since the late 1800s. Today the church is changing in numerous ways to meet the needs of our 21st century world while continuing to preach the heart of the gospel based on faith in Jesus Christ. At 9:45 a.m. Sunday we offer Sunday School classes for all ages and at 11 a.m. we feature a traditional Sunday worship service with a robed choir and hymns, but with sermons which connect the biblical text to the challenging issues people face today. The church is led by Senior Pastor Dr. Mark Olson, who earned a Ph.D. in New Testament from the University of Virginia (cell 703-268-1883).
