 Open registration for new families takes place February 2nd and thereafter until all classes are full and waiting lists begin.

Online Form Registration

On February 2nd at 7:00 am, as you log in and refresh your computer you will see a registration tab. Please complete the entire form and your choices for class days and times and submit it. Please fill out the form completely and correctly, as this becomes the database to notify you later about placement. Please select as many choices as you are willing to accept for preschool. Complete only ONE online registration form. Multiple submissions for the same child will result in us taking your LAST entry- not your first. Multiple registrations bog down our system. Please submit your registration fee before February 2nd as part of the registration process. Checks payable to HBCPK $150.00 per student

Alumni PLEASE NOTE— you register at 7:30am on January 31st, 2024

This online format does away with our past history of all-night camping in the parking lot, or car lines until midnight. Submit just ONE registration form per child- do not submit multiple copies. We will take your LAST entry, not your first.


Paper Registration

If you are not able to register online or miss the online sign-up date, you can contact the school using the ‘contact us’ button on this website after February 2nd to request a paper form via email. Once you complete the paper application you can scan it back to us, or snail mail, or use our dropbox. You would need to submit the $150 registration fee either by snail mail or via our dropbox.

The dropbox is located along the side of the preschool. Using the sidewalk, behind the school sign, under the 2nd window. You will see a small black rubber slot- it drops right into the office. Checks for $150 per student should be made payable to HBCPK, with the child’s name in the memo portion.


Registration Fees

You will have until February 1st to remit your registration fee to us (checks made payable to HBCPK and dropped off or mailed to PO Box 182, Haymarket, VA 20168; remember to put your child's name in the memo portion of the check). This means we must have your check in hand in order for you to participate in the online registration on Feb 2nd start time-7 am ($150). If you’d like to submit it early, that is fine and we will hold it until Feb 2nd.


Confirmation Process

By mid-February you will receive either a confirmation letter by email or a phone call, stating your status for the 2024-2025 school year. Remember, we fill classes on a first-come-first-served basis. We will attempt to give you your first choice, and if unable, we will contact you about accepting your second or remaining choices. Whichever choices you select on the registration form, we will contact you about those and offer those to you as they are available. If you choose not to accept one of the choices you selected on the registration form, you will not be refunded your registration fee. Make sure you only check off classes you are willing to take for your child.  The more options you are willing to accept, the more likely you will get in.  For example, if you'll only take MWF mornings- when other options arise, we will not call you because you did not list it as one you would accept.

Once we have discussed options with you by telephone, we will send you a confirmation letter. You will have a date to accept the position, and must return the completed confirmation form, signed and including the fees for curriculum and one month's tuition (this is called the tuition deposit, which is held for your May 2025 payment in preschool or kindergarten

Wishing you speedy typing fingers on registration day, we hope that we will be able to meet the needs of your child and family this next school year.

Important Notes

Please note that you cannot register earlier than February 2nd at 7:00 am. If you attempt to register earlier, we will not honor your registration or hold it. You will simply not be registered at all. So please register at your appointed time to avoid disappointment.

Past history has shown that classes are sold out within minutes. The online registration will remain open until 7:30 am on February 2nd, but likely sold out by 7:10am. After this date and time, online registration will no longer be an option for you. You can come into the office to fill out a form.

If you are put on a waiting list, do not give up. We occasionally open new classes in the late summer, if we have space, and children do move or withdraw for many reasons, even into the fall time frame. Your registration check will remain attached to your form until we have placement for your child, or until October 1st, at which time we will shred your check, but retain your registration form should changes occur beyond October.

If we contact you with a placement anytime between February 2nd, 2024, and October 1st, 2024 and you decline the position, your registration fee will not be refunded. Please feel free to contact the office with any further questions.
