Support Staff
Our floaters provides extra helping hands throughout the day. You might find them in "lunch bunch", doing carpool or afternoon dismissals, preparing snacks, gathering craft supplies, helping teachers with projects or comforting a child who is having a difficult day. Floaters help with parent coffees, school events and programs, ordering supplies...and subbing wherever needed.
TISHA BROWN
Mrs. Brown begins her 13th year at HBCPK. Tisha has been an active volunteer at HBCPK as well as the music assistant, Lego Club instructor, Engineering for Kids instructor and spent many years assisting in Pre K. She is a graduate of Texas Bible Institute and has worked in children's ministry since she was a teenager. She has completed the Preschool Endorsement Credential with the state of Virginia and completed her Early Childhood AA at NOVA. Tisha is married with 2 children (both alumni at HBCPK) ands attends Park Valley Church. She enjoys reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Brown is a lead teacher in the 2’s and MWF pm 4’s,, and a floater/lunch bunch worker/ media support and many other hats- you will definitely see her around HBCPK!
Alexis Chapman
Miss Chapman begins her 3rd year at HBCPK as a floater. Alexis is a graduate of George Mason University with a BS in Communications. You will find Alexis helping at the back door arrivals, washing hands, making snacks, helping with art projects, and supporting many of the school’s day-to-day operations. Outside of preschool, Miss Chapman has her own pet care business called Wags N Whiskers, LLC. She loves ALL animals…and has cared for many staff and student family pets during vacations! She has her own dog, Wilson- a rescue boy who is her favorite pup! Alexis is a big Washington sports fan- especially the Capitals Hockey Team ( Wilson her dog is named after her favorite player)! The children enjoy Miss Chapman’s sweet and kind ways with them!
ANN MARIE HUMPHREYS
Mrs. Ann Marie Humphreys is a Monday, Wednesday, Friday morning floater. She is currently a student at Liberty University pursuing her BA in Education. She is married with 4 children- two who have attended through Kindergarten and the last little one is a currently attending student. The Humphreys attend Park Valley Church, where Ann Marie is active in MOPS and women’s Bible studies. Her favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5- she says God continues to show her that worrying is a waste of time. She is looking forward to making a difference in the lives of our preschoolers- she says children are so honest, pure-hearted and hungry to learn. You will see Ann Marie at carline, making snack, helping teachers and office staff this year!
Erika Renehan
Mrs. Erika Renehan is our Head Floater and in her 3rd year at HBCPK. She is a graduate of Bentley University in MA, with a degree in Marketing. She is married with 2 children (youngest is alumni) and has a sweet pup, Stella! Previously Erika taught soccer, and she really enjoys the energy children have- it is rewarding work to help children grow and learn! You will find Mrs. Renehan making snacks, supervising arrival/departure carlines, ordering supplies and multi-tasking!! The Renehans attend church at Park Valley. Erika’s favorite verse is Psalm 37:5, and believing that God has a plan and it is her job to trust that plan- He will always be there for her.
