Our Vision

Educators are innovators.

Our school was established in 1989 as a non-profit organization. Because we are a religiously based school, we are exempt from state licensing. However, we are monitored by the state and must meet and document the required guidelines set by the state and implement their recognized health, safety and staffing requirements. We are currently licensed as a Religiously Exempt school. Our staff is CPR and First Aid trained, and must complete continuing education annually in the field of Early Childhood. Our lead teachers are all credentialed with Association of Christian School International, meeting criteria on a college level- by 2 or 4 yr degree, along with many other requirements.

We are an accredited preschool and kindergarten program after a three year self-study and evaluation by the Accreditation Team of the Association of Christian Schools International. Our lead teaching staff are credentialed and maintain credentialing status through this association as well.

We currently have over 300 children enrolled in our preschool programs. We offer classes for children of age two, three and four, in both morning and afternoon programs, as well as a variety of days throughout the week to attend. Our Kindergarten Program runs from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, with the option to add Enrichment programs for an extended hour.

We offer an option to extend your child's day at HBCPK with Rise and Shine for morning students from 7:30 to 9 am before class time and Cub Club for afternoon students from 3:30 to 5 pm. Reservations must be made in advance and those that use the service monthly receive a discounted rate. Daily rate is $10 per day, monthly rate is $7 per day. Sign ups are held in the office.

We use the A Beka phonics and writing curriculum with our three and four-year-olds, and add many other resources to keep a balanced approach to the preschool environment. We provide music and movement classes every week for our three and four-year-olds. Our Kindergarten has music and PE each week. Everyone goes to Chapel, once a week. We have two large, fenced playgrounds and an inside playroom for rainy days.

Haymarket Baptist Church Preschool & Kindergarten is proud to be serving Northern Virginia and families residing in Haymarket, Gainesville, Bristow, Warrenton and other surrounding areas.

HBCPK admits children of any race, color and national ethnic origin and grants them all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to children at the school.  We admit well, ambulatory children whose health and abilities allow them to participate in all activities during the normal classroom day. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color or national ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies and other school administered programs. Basic communication in English is essential for the safety and academic success of each classroom.
