Kindergarten Teachers


Kim Stevens

Mrs. Kim Stevens begins her 8th year at our school. She has been the 4's music teacher, K music teacher and this will be her 6th year in the Kindergarten classroom.  Kim has her Bachelor's degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Elementary Education and her Master's Degree in Literacy Education from Washington State University. Mrs. Stevens attends Living Hope Church with her family and teaches Sunday School. The Stevens have two grown children, and one son-in-law. She loves gardening, photography and the Florida Gators! Her favorite subjects to teach are Bible and writing...and anything you can teach thru song! Her class is the Parrot Pals!

Jamie Bellis

Mrs. Jamie Bellis begins her first year teaching kindergarten for us, after lots of subbing…and being fully qualified as well! Jamie has her Bachelor’s from James Madison, and her Masters from Geore Mason in Elementary Education. She taught for ten years in Fairfax County Public Schools- 7 in Kindergarten and 3 in 1st grade. The Bellis family worships at Park Valley Church, where Jamie is involved with the children’s ministry. She is married and has two children- one an HBCPK graduate, and one here in Kindergarten. Mrs. Bellis loves tennis, running, organizing and getting together with family and friends. She loves teaching because she gets to be a part of a child’s growth, discovery and joy in learning! Her favorite verse is Joshua 1:9- knowing that the Lord is with her wherever she goes. She is excited to join Team K this year!


Jill Waskow

Mrs. Jill Waskow returns for her 12th year, previously teaching in our Pre-K program and now her 2nd year in Kindergarten. Jill has a BA from Longwood College as a History major/teaching certification, and also a Master's from George Mason University in Education in Curriculum and Instruction. She has her Early Education Teacher Credential from ACSI.  She is married to her college sweetheart and they have two teenage children, both graduates of HBCPK. Jill worships at Park Valley Church and volunteers in the nursery with the infants. Mrs. Waskow enjoys cooking, exercising, attending concerts and spending time with her family and her golden doodle, Boomer. She loves making children feel welcome and special in her class, the Busy Bees!
